Job Title: Head of Planning

Location: KUWAIT OR IN COMPANY BRANCHES AS MAY BE NEEDED

Qualification: Bachelor Degree in engineering or similar technical qualification

Job Responsibilities:

    Purpose

    • Coordinating, planning, scheduling, monitoring and controlling the construction project activities on Projects’ sites

    Responsibilities

    • Function as a main advisory to the Project Manager in all issues concerning planning, scheduling and resources needed. Deals with progress measurements, delays, corrective actions and claims.
    • Managing a team of planning engineers to develop the base line program and ensure overall progress of work from pre-construction stage through to completion is efficient.
    • Lead planning engineers in preparing timely and accurate reports and schedule plans for project management and effective project control.
    • Monitor and maintain detailed project schedule, work breakdown structure, project and activity coding and resource loading.
    • To decide and compute resources under allocation, cash flow, key performance indicators (KPIs), resource histograms and S-curves
    • Time management, delay analysis, claims support and change management throughout the entire process of pre-construction, design, procurement, construction delivery and aftercare.
    • To identify the different critical paths of the project and any changes affecting them during progress updating and enabling a clear visibility to the areas of concern and delays.
    • Provide leadership, support and training, and contribute to career development.
    • Managing a team of Planners.
    • Responsible for all planning requirements across the division.
    • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate under the direction of the Lead Planner-Scheduler.
    • Prepare efficient training programs for all planning processes.
    • Collaborate with all stakeholders to perform various strategies and coordinate with project managers to monitor all ongoing projects and resolve all availability issues.
    • Prepare reports for all planning activity metrics.
    • Participate in all evaluation meetings on weekly and monthly basis.
    • To supervise project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities and recommend alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision.
    • To provide comments and recommendations for planning and scheduling requirements relative to staffing and project control.

Job Title: Sr. Estimation Engineer – Mechanical

Location: KUWAIT OR IN COMPANY BRANCHES AS MAY BE NEEDED

Qualification: Bachelor in any engineering discipline

Job Responsibilities:

    Purpose

    • To Estimate the direct cost of work in tenders in his own area of specialization & assist in the preparation of bids for Company’s projects

    Responsibilities

    • To take part in pre tender meeting and site visit with other discipline estimators.
    • To study the scope of work in tenders from blueprints and other documentation and derive quantum of work in his own area of specialization.
    • To invite quotations and offers & prepare technical comparison for all offers from Subcontractors and to select one of them.
    • To clarify doubts in tenders through written communication with client for any missing information.
    • To Prepare & Estimate man-hours, deployment schedules, equipment required & project schedule for the project by discussing with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or Construction Engineers.
    • To review the tender with the Proposal coordinator for his area of specialization & ensure timely submission of the tender with all related technical & commercial inputs.
    • To take part in the post tender review meeting with client, providing all clarification during post tender period.
    • To prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors & sub-contractors

Job Title: Sr. Contracts Engineer

Location: KUWAIT OR IN COMPANY BRANCHES AS MAY BE NEEDED

Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering discipline (as appropriate)

Job Responsibilities:

    Purpose

    • Administering Contracts for both Pre Contracts & Post Contracts stages up to Projects(s) closeout to ensure
      compliance to Company requirements and policies.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage the projects contract administration framework.
    • Assists Project Management in all aspects of contract administration.
    • Develop the Contract Management Function with capabilities to negotiate and manage large scale contracts, striving for continuous improvement.
    • Manage the formal governance of the client contracts, ensuring the clients’ interests are represented in all / contracts negotiations, and subsequent efficient management. 
    • Manage vendor pre-qualification and maintain approved vendor database.
    • Preparing bid, contract documents, and tender evaluations in collaboration with other team members, mitigate claims and contractual disputes from contractors, and other potential parties.
    • Finalizing change orders and methods of reimbursement.
    • Assists contractual negotiations of sub-contract agreements.
    • Final accounts management.
    • Participates in Division, Company, and Corporate strategic planning activities for specific projects (e.g., risk assessment, bid/no bid analysis, participation in business plan development, etc.).
    • Provides technical guidance to assigned personnel, and ensures proficiency and timeliness of contract administration.
    • Collaborates with Division and project management to ensure proper support in proposal preparation, as well as contract negotiations and administration.
    • Reviews requests for proposals to identify risks and contractual terms not conforming to Company policy.
    • Maintain an active participation in related professional societies to keep abreast of relevant contractual issues.
    • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
    • Ensuring the proper preparation and documentation of all information recording events as background to future claims.
    • Review and advise on draft letters on contractual correspondences
