Project Description

      Construction, Completion and Maintenance of the Road Connecting Kabd and Wafra Areas. The length of the constructed road is 55.9km. There is an existing undivided highway from km 0 to km 12 where the scope of work is to construct the Kabd-bound carriageway parallel to the existing road.

      Major items of work are Road Works, 108km of Guard Rails, Storm water Pipe Culverts/Pipe sleeves at 17 locations to protect KOC Oil/Gas lines. Installation of 901 Nos of 16m height street lights. Construction of Electrical and Telephone crossing ducts and KOC pipeline crossings at 4 locations. The construction duration is 900 days starting 07-Feb 2010 and ending 14-March 2013. The maintenance duration is 5 years.
